Fake Admin Messages and Phishing: What to Look For
We will never ask for your password. Here is how to spot the people who will.
What we never do
- We never ask for your password, in chat, by email or by any other route.
- We never ask you to pay someone through a link in a message.
- We never ask you to send your ID to a person in chat. Verification happens inside the app.
- We never take payment outside the app checkout.
Common tricks
| The message says | What is really happening |
|---|---|
| "Your account will be paused, click here" | A fake login page that steals your password. |
| "Send a small fee to verify your payout" | A plain theft. Payout setup costs nothing. |
| "I am from admin, pay me directly" | Staff do not collect money in chat. |
| "Download this file to see my photos" | Malware or a trap link. Photos load in the app. |
How to check
- Look at the web address. Ours is tootsietrader.com and nothing else.
- Open the site yourself instead of clicking a link in a message.
- Check the sender. Our team posts in official notifications, not random DMs.
If you clicked
Change your password right away and sign out of other devices. If you gave a payout handle or other details, tell us through the contact page. Use the report button on the message too.
