How to Remove Location Data From Feet Pics

Photos can carry where they were taken. Here is how to strip it on iPhone and Android, and what else to check in the frame.

Phones can save the exact place a photo was taken inside the file. If you sell from home, that is your address. Turn it off before you shoot.

iPhone

  1. Stop saving location: Settings, Privacy and Security, Location Services, Camera, set to Never.
  2. Remove it from a photo you already took: open it in Photos, tap the info button, tap Adjust under the map, then No Location.
  3. When you share from Photos, tap Options at the top of the share sheet and turn Location off.

Android

  1. Stop saving location: open the Camera app settings and turn off Location tags (the name differs by phone).
  2. Remove it from a photo you already took: in Google Photos, open the photo, swipe up for details and remove the location.
  3. Check your phone's gallery app too. Some brands keep their own location setting.

Check the frame, not just the file

  • Mail, packages and anything with your name or address.
  • Windows that show a street, a house number or a view someone could recognize.
  • Mirrors and shiny surfaces that show your face or the room.
  • Tattoos, birthmarks and distinctive rugs or furniture if you want to stay anonymous.

Keep your accounts separate

Use a selling name, a separate email and a separate social account just for promotion. More in how to sell feet pics anonymously.
