Is selling feet pics legal?

In the US, selling photos and videos of your own feet to another adult is legal. The real risks sit around it: age, what else is in the content, other people's images, and paying your taxes.

The short answer

Feet pics are ordinary photos. Selling your own to adults who want to buy them is legal in the US, and it is a common side income. People run into trouble with things around the sale, and all of them are avoidable.

Where the real risks are

  • Age. Anyone under 18 selling, or anyone buying from a minor, is a serious crime. That is why every creator here passes a government ID check and why we keep the records described in 18 U.S.C. 2257.
  • Explicit content. Federal law (18 U.S.C. 1465) makes it a crime to distribute obscene material for sale, including online. Plain feet pics are nowhere near that line, but explicit content is a different matter. Keep sets within our content rules.
  • Other people. Only sell photos of your own feet, or of an adult who has given written consent and is verified too. Using someone else's photos can break copyright law (17 U.S.C. 106) and their right to control their own image.
  • Scams. Legal risk aside, the most common way sellers lose money is fake buyers asking you to pay a verification fee or send gift cards. Here the buyer always pays first, at checkout.

Site rules are not laws

Instagram, TikTok and similar apps often remove posts that sell content or send people elsewhere to buy it. That is a policy choice by those companies, not a sign that selling is illegal, and it is the main reason feet pic marketplaces exist.

Taxes count too

Money from selling is taxable income in the US, whether or not you receive a tax form. The IRS says you must report it even without a Form 1099-K. See our tax guide for sellers.

How TootsieTrader keeps creators on the right side

  • Every creator is ID-checked and must be 18 or older. Buyers confirm they are 18 or older too.
  • Anyone can report a post or profile, and our team reviews every report.
  • Faces are never required. Many creators never show more than their feet.
  • We ask for a tax form when a creator's yearly sales reach $500, so nothing surprises you at tax time.

Common questions

Is it legal to sell feet pics in the US?

Yes, between adults. Photos of your own feet are legal to sell. The legal risks come from who is selling, what else is in the content and whether you report the income, not from the sale itself.

Do I have to be 18?

Yes. Every creator here must be at least 18 and pass a government ID check before selling. Buyers must be 18 or older too.

Why do Instagram or TikTok remove feet pic sales posts?

Many mainstream apps ban selling adult-leaning content or sending people off the app to buy it. That is a site rule, not a law, and it is why creators sell on marketplaces built for it.

Can I sell pics of someone else’s feet?

Only with their written consent, and they must be an adult who passes verification too. Selling photos of another person without consent can lead to legal claims and gets accounts removed here.
